Study 12 weeks of English for FREE with Southern Lakes English College towards employment or further studies in New Zealand.

Available on Invercargill Campus (face to face).

Eligibility

You can apply for this programme if you hold one of the following visas or status:

1. New Zealand Resident or Citizen.

Terms and Conditions

​

1. 12 weeks of Free English Tuition at Southern Lakes English College.

2. Available in our Invercargill campus only.

3. 16 years of age or over and not a full-time secondary school student.

4. Classes start every Monday. Current SLEC Timetable is listed below.

5. Once the 12-week course starts, the student must finish the course. If the student does not finish the 12-week course, he/she will not be able to start again or study the remaining weeks later.

6. Attendance will be recorded and a minimum of 95% will be required.

7. Part-time option also available

8. The average class size is 12-14 with a maximum of 18 students per class for face to face courses and 16 students per class for Online courses.

• Full-time (General English + PTE Academic)

  • Monday to Thursday 9 am – 3 pm – Starts every Monday

• Part-time morning (General English)

  • Monday to Thursday 9 am – 12 pm – Starts every Monday

• Part-time afternoon (PTE Academic)

  • Monday to Thursday 1 pm – 3 pm – Starts every Monday

• Part-time evening (General English)

  • Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
