Job Club

If you are planning to work while studying at SLEC, you can join our Job Club at our Queenstown Campus! A free weekly class where you receive helpful advice to prepare you for working in New Zealand.

You will be guided through essential steps like:

​​

• Opening a bank account (bank options, appointments and documentation)

• Getting an IRD number (what it is, how to apply and processing time)

• Creating your CV and Cover Letter (templates, examples, tips and corrections)

• Looking for a job (recruitment agencies, local newsletters and employment websites)

Once you have taken these steps and created your CV and Cover Letter, we can help you double-check that everything is correct, and that you are confident and ready to search for your new job.

At work you will be able to practice and improve your English skills even more!

Please note that in order to join our free Job Club, you must have a visa which gives you the right to work in New Zealand.

The job search club is only available at our Queenstown campus.
